We have an exciting opportunity for a Communications Coordinator (Media Centre) to join our Corporate Affairs and Communications team on a short-term contract basis in preparation for the Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix 2022. This is a contract role which will conclude in April 2022.

Reporting to Manager - Communications and Stakeholder Engagement, you will successfully support the management of the media centre and publicity of the Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix 2022.

The primary focus of the role will be:

  • Lead the planning and delivery of the event media centre.
  • Assist with media centre operations at event
  • Assist the Corporate Affair and Communications team to execute publicity events such as launches, photo opportunities and media announcements.
  • Assist with copy development for a wide variety of communications materials.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in communications, journalism, public relations or related area.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, attention to detail, organisational and time management skills.
  • Hands-on communications, public and media relations experience.
  • Experience in a media centre would be highly regarded
