We are excited to announce that we are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, and skilled Junior Graphic Designer to join our team! We are looking for someone who can work in a fast-paced environment and assist with graphic designs needs across AGPC and our two events – the Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix and the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix. This a fantastic opportunity to work on two of the biggest sporting brands on the planet and deliver creative that will help us connect with new and existing fans in an innovative way and drive revenue.

Reporting to the Graphic Designer, as a design team of two working within the Brand team, you will have the opportunity to assist with the development of all creative across our two world-class events for both print and digital channels.

To be successful, the Junior Graphic Designer will have experience using Adobe Creative Cloud, in particular InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Strengths required for the role include great people management, organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and attention to detail. But most important of all is that the successful candidate will add to the culture of the team and wider business.

The primary focus of the role will be:

  • Assist with the development of print and digital creative for marketing collateral for the Formula 1® and MotoGP™ events including; eDM’s, digital display advertising, web/social media content, flyers, at event signage, maps, branded templates, look books, invites, ticketing collateral, partnership proposals, sales collateral and outdoor advertising.
  • Collaborate with the Graphic Designer to develop brand creative and establishing companywide brand standards.
  • Translate hero campaign concepts across multiple channels seamlessly and consistently.
  • Work closely with the Marketing & Experience team to understand content, brands and customers segments in order to deliver effective design solutions.
  • Effectively follow a brief, delivering creative designs that are on brand and on deadline.
  • Prepare tailored partnership proposals for numerous brands with competing deadlines.
  • Assist with management of image library and design assets.
  • Work during event times to manage design deliverables and assist with event photography capture.
  • Other duties at the reasonable request of the Graphic Designer, Brand Manager, Brand Marketing Executive and General Manager ‑ Marketing & Experience

To success in the role you will have:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Graphic Design.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a design role working in house or in an agency environment.
  • Highly proficient with macOS.
  • Sound working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, in particular InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Strong typography & layout skills.
  • Strong organisational skills, including time management and ability to balance multiple projects with competing deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
  • Enthusiasm a must along with a willingness to up-skill.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the team and also autonomously on independent projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
