 We are excited to announce that we are looking for a Manager– Motorsport Operations to join our highly motivated, talented and driven Operations Department. This is a full time permanent role.

Reporting to Division Manager – Motorsport,  the objective of this role is to contribute to the overall success of the Operations Department and Australian Grand Prix Corporation’s delivery of each event. This position's primary responsibility is ensuring organisational effectiveness by providing leadership for the organisation's Motorsport Operations functions at each event.

 The primary focus of the role will be:

  • Management of Support Category race entries and administration, liaising with category managers for the F1 event or direct to competitors for the MotoGP event.
  • Management of motorsport paddock areas, including the integration of Formula 2, Formula 3, the Australian Supercars and all other motorsport categories, parades and displays.
  • Management of all on-track entertaining activities, including the Driver’s and Rider’s Parades, demonstrations and pre-race activities.
  • Management of other Motorsport related event activities as scheduled from time to time.
  • Management of International Accreditation for Formula 1 and MotoGP, from consultation with departments and stakeholders, to development of the order with the relevant international stakeholder and ultimately distribution and compliance in a Motorsport environment during the event.
  • Development and management of Formula 1 and MotoGP trophies.
  • Management of all Support Category Podiums and awards presentations for the Formula 1 and MotoGP events.
  • Involvement in the development of forecasts, control, review and updating of the Motorsport budget for both events.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Degree qualified, ideally in sports/ event management or other relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrated relevant, equivalent professional experience of at least the last 5 years and knowledge in Motorsport Event Management.
  • Extensive knowledge and evidence of application of FIM, FIA, MOTORSPORT AUSTRALIA, MA Rules and Regulations and process and procedure for development of event regulations.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills to manage conflicting demands.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to resolve conflict.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor and lead staff and volunteers.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to build effective relationships and communicate with a diverse range of people both internal and external.
  • Knowledge in Formula 1 and MotoGP, personnel, and circuits.
