The Australian Grand Prix Corporation (AGPC) is responsible for staging two iconic international events, the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne, as well as the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix held in Phillip Island. AGPC is excited to announce that it is now recruiting for a Senior Manager - Motorsport to join the highly motivated, talented and driven Motorsport, Entertainment & Industry department on a 12 month contract basis (with possibility of permanency). The successful candidate will join an organisation that prides itself on its culture, fun working environment, innovation and getting results.

Working closely with other departments and as a key member of the Motorsport Team, the role's purpose is to effectively coordinate particular aspects of event content associated with the staging of the off-track entertainment at the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix at Albert Park and the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix at Phillip Island.

Reporting into the General Manager, Motorsport Entertainment and Industry, this role requires sound leadership of the Corporation's entire Motorsport program at each event. The successful applicant will possess:Relevant motorsport and major event expertise

  • Relevant Motorsport & major event expertise
  • Proficient financial management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Accurate timeline management of key milestones
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering in line with strategic and companywide objectives.
  • Exceptional customer service ability in combination with the ability to build strong relationships across a wide number of all internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to induct and train contract staff joining the Motorsport Team in the lead up to and at both events as required
