Sales Operations Manager

The Australian Grand Prix Corporation (AGPC) is responsible for staging two iconic international events, the Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne, as well as the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix, held at Phillip Island. The Australian Grand Prix Corporation is in a rapid growth phase as the digital advancements of Formula 1 and MotoGP continue to raise the bar. We are looking for a Sales Operations Manager to join our team as we evolve our sales strategy and adapt to new market trends.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Effective management of the Sales Operations Team and ongoing support for the Sales & Commercial Team;
  • Ensuring all corporate hospitality bookings and sponsorship agreements are processed promptly and accurately by the Sales Operations Team;
  • Becoming the organisation wide CRM Champion then continuing to drive adoption and compliance;
  • Improving current processes and implementing new ones to streamline the flow of sales information to the wider business.

We are looking for an operationally-minded candidate with a passion for and understanding of sales. The successful candidate will have prior experience developing systems, processes and an intimate knowledge of CRM software.

To be successful in this role you will need to enjoy data generation and analysis and have the ability to masterfully manipulate excel spreadsheets. This will need to be balanced with a positive and supportive team mentality as priorities change throughout the year. The ability to hold large amounts of information, especially financial figures, will hold you in good stead as you quickly become the go-to person for sales related enquiries.

We are looking for someone who understands the dynamism and demands of working in major events. You’ll be reliable, flexible and proactive, as well as passionate about working collaboratively as part of a wider organisation. An excellent eye for detail is essential and you will be able to work to tight deadlines, as well as manage long-term projects.
